Spurs agree Ramos settlement

Tottenham have agreed an out-of-court settlement with Sevilla regarding former coach Juande Ramos, according to the Primera Liga club. The Spanish outfit demanded compensation from their English counterparts after Ramos opted to head to White Hart Lane in 2007.Sevilla accused Spurs of making an illegal approach for their coach, knowing he was contracted to the Andalusia outfit until the end of the 2007/08 campaign. He broke that agreement in October 2007 and headed for an ill-fated 12-month spell in the Premier League. He was relieved of his duties in North London in October 2008, with Tottenham languishing at the foot of the table.A statement on Sevilla's official website has since announced that a settlement has been agreed for Ramos' appointment at Spurs.Ramos was named on an interim basis by Spanish giants Real Madrid, overseeing the final six months of this season. He has since been replaced at El Santiago Bernabeu by Chilean tactician Manuel Pellegrini.
