Cherries: Pitman Blackpool move could fall through

BRETT Pitman's proposed move to Premier League new boys Blackpool was tonight in the balance. Sources close to the Echo claim Pitman has not yet put pen to paper at Bloomfield Road after failing to agree personal terms. Pitman was understood to have undergone a medical in the North West earlier this afternoon, but despite lengthy talks with the Seasiders, no deal has been reached. It is understood Pitman could yet be available for Cherries' League One clash at Tranmere Rovers on Saturday. Cherries chairman Eddie Mitchell gave the striker permission to talk to boss Ian Holloway after accepting a bid, understood to have been in the region of £600,000, for Cherries' prized asset. More on this story as it develops.
