Henrik Larsson is not set to make a sensational return to Celtic, according to the Swede's agent.
The SPL outfit are on the lookout for a new boss following Gordon Strachan's resignation at the end of May.
A number of candidates have been linked with the job and speculation has suggested former Celtic striker Larsson was on the verge of being named assistant manager to Mark McGhee.
But the Helsingborgs forward's representative, Rob Jansen, has dismissed the conjecture.
RumoursJansen said in the Scottish Daily Mail: "These rumours are not true at all.
"Henrik is still playing for Helsingborgs in Sweden and it's impossible for him to break his contract or be part of anything happening at Celtic right now."
Meanwhile, West Brom insist they have not been approached by the Hoops regarding the availability of manager Tony Mowbray.
Reports had suggested that the Baggies boss, a former Celtic player, was set to be unveiled within the next 48 hours.
But a West Brom spokesman said: "I can confirm that we have received no approach from Celtic regarding Tony Mowbray."
