Stanley player negotiations stall

The League Two side are to meet with HM Revenue and Customs on Friday to discuss a repayment plan of their £300,000 debt from unpaid tax and national insurance contributions. When asked if he feared losing any players, Bell told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I have had various phone calls from players asking what's going on, but we've just had to say to them that the club are confident everything will be okay. "Nothing's moved on with player negotiations though. A lot of the players don't really want to commit themselves. It's all been pretty much put on hold while the club do what they have to do to get things sorted. "Luke (Joyce) has gone on holiday but he seems very interested in coming. I don't know whether he's had other offers because they don't tell you these things, but we're still confident about that one." Meanwhile, Andy Procter has been given until Monday to decide on his contract offer. Bell added: "I haven't heard any more from him but we'll have to give him a deadline because we'll have to offer the money to someone else. I think it will probably be over the weekend or on Monday."
