Bayern Munich are planning to raid Chelsea for Jose Bosingwa.
The German side have missed out on Portsmouth's Glen Johnson, for whom Chelsea have agreed a £17million fee, and have switched their sights to the Portugal full back.
The 26-year-old, who signed from Porto for £16m last summer, is under contract until 2011 but Bayern hope to exploit changes brought about by new boss Carlo Ancelotti with a £12m offer.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are planning to hijack Chelsea's bid for Russia star Yuri Zhirkov after he said he did not want to be a squad player.
But Chelsea are among the front runners in the race to sign Charlton's 17-year-old midfielder Jonjo Shelvey.
