Possession key to Holloway's plan

The England national side has consistently been shown up in major tournaments for their inability to retain possession. And Holloway, who was recently appointed at Bloomfield Road, said: "I believe the modern is game is becoming more and more about retention of the ball and not giving it to the opposition."That's what I want to try and encourage the players to do. I believe English football, to a point, is not quite getting certain things right."I think a lot of top managers, even Sir Alex Ferguson, are adopting a different type of European style."
