Mendes pledges future to Rangers

The Portuguese midfielder only moved to Ibrox last summer on a three-year deal, but has fallen in love with the club and Glasgow.Mendes, 30, told the Daily Record: "I have enjoyed everything about the club. I love the club, the city and the family have settled well so I am enjoying myself in Glasgow."If the club comes to me and asks me to sign a long-term contract, I would talk with them and be willing to stay for a long time yet."Meanwhile, Christian Dailly says he has loved every minute of his 16-month spell at Ibrox.The former Scotland defender, 35, left Rangers this week after his contract expired.Dailly, who finished his career at the club on a high after helping them land a league and cup double, said in the Scottish Sun: "It was a great thing for me to come to Rangers. I had always wanted to try something like it."I had always been at clubs who weren't expected to win every week. But I have always been a player who does expect to win every week."I could never understand the underlying mentality at some clubs that you might not win."I felt that we should be looking to win every single game."The great thing about being at Rangers was it felt so natural for me to play and expect to win. It was a brilliant experience and an amazing place to play football."
