Pogatetz plans to stick around

Emmanuel Pogatetz is prepared to remain at Middlesbrough and lead their promotion push next season. Boro slipped out of the Premier League last season and will start the 2009/10 campaign looking to bounce back into the top flight at the first time of asking.Reports have suggested that their slide into the Championship will result in a mass exodus from the Riverside Stadium this summer, with the likes of Tuncay Sanli, Jeremie Aliadiere and Afonso Alves all expected to be sold. However, club captain Pogatetz has vowed to remain loyal to the North East outfit, providing their stay in the Championship lasts no more than one season."I'm fully focused on playing another season for Boro," the Austria international said in The Sun."I am going to try to help them go back up, and hope to stay at the club longer if they manage it."I'll only leave now if something very good comes up. I feel a sense of duty to the club."But I can't imagine playing in the Championship for a long time. If it's just for one year then I am ready to help them."
