Liverpool-bound Jones left out by Boro

BRAD JONES'S future at Middlesbrough has taken a further twist tonight after he he was left out by manager Gordon Strachan at Chesterfield. Strachan had suggested that he would be standing by Jones, whose future remains up in the air amid interest from Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson. But, despite being included in a squad that travelled to the b2net Stadium for tonight's Carling Cup tie, Jason Steele starts and Danny Coyne is the substitute goalkeeper. Liverpool have already had an offer of around £2m rejected for Jones, who has signalled his intention to move to Anfield already. Strachan has also handed Josh Walker a start in the middle of midfield in the absence of eight injured players and five on international duty.
