No Plans To Declare

Allan Maitland must be doing something right at Alloa to stay in the same job since 2006 Saturday's trip to Livingston for Alloa manager Allan Maitland marked his 200th game in charge of the Wasps. A co-incidence of fixtures allowed him to mark the game at the same ground as he started out on his career as the Wasps’ boss back in January 2006. The former Clyde and Hamilton Accies manager is now the second longest serving manager in Scotland, ironically sitting behind Hamilton boss Billy Reid, who replaced him both at Broadwood and New Douglas Park. Maitland failed repeat the success he had in his opening game but his side did fight back from being two goals down at half time to secure a 3-3 draw. Maitland said: "We travelled to Livingston in a Scottish Cup replay in my first game. We were bottom of the Second Division and they were a SPL side and we won 2-1 so I can certainly remember that game vividly. I am not sure I recall the 198 games between now and then so well but I am hoping I will remember this game for the next four and a half years."Maitland’s assistant James Ward has been with him for all two hundred games and a club spokesperson said: "They are a great team. Allan’s man-management skills are second to none and James is known for his varied training sessions and keeping the squad well entertained."
