Manchester City's Robinho wants to stay at Santos for Copa Libertadores tilt

Robinho is desperate to extend his stay at Santos by at least a year after helping them win the Brazilian Cup in what was the final game of his initial six-month loan from ManchesterCity.Victory in the nationwide knockout tournament for the first time in the club's history has earned Santos a place in the Copa Libertadores, South America's equivalent of the Champions League. Robinho wants a shot at the continent's top prize and has pleaded with City to allow him to stay. The Eastlands outfit, though, would rather cash in on the player who has caused more harm than good since his British record transfer of £32.5million from Real Madrid.
