Leeds striker Tresor Kandol has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
Since being signed by Dennis Wise in November 2006, Kandol scored 16 goals in 77 appearances and formed a formidable partnership with Jermaine Beckford in the 2007/08 season.
However, he has been rarely used by current manager Simon Grayson, making just 13 appearances last term.
Meanwhile, the club have allowed third-choice goalkeeper Alan Martin to join Blue Square Premier side Barrow on loan until January.
The Scotland Under-21 international will return to the club where he made 20 appearances in a similar deal during the 2008/09 season.
The highly-rated shot-stopper has not made a senior appearance for Leeds and will hope to gain some first-team experience in order to challenge Kasper Schmeichel and Shane Higgs for the number one jersey at Elland Road.
