Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that midfielder Darren Pratley is close to agreeing a new contract with the club.
The 25-year-old, who has 12 months left on his current deal, was the subject of a failed £1.5million bid by Nottingham Forest in January and has been linked with a switch to the City Ground again over the summer.
However, it seems that London-born Pratley, who was the Swans top scorer last season with seven goals, wants to remain at the Liberty Stadium and it is understood he will pen a three-year deal.
Rodgers told BBC Sport: "It was my number one objective to make sure one of the top midfield players in the Championship stays here.
"We are hoping that will be concluded very, very soon."
