Yebda agent confirms English interest

Hassan Yebda's brother agent claims a number of clubs have enquired about bringing the Benfica midfielder back to England this summer. The Algerian spent last season on loan at Portsmouth and was one of the stand-out performers in a relegation campaign at Fratton Park.Yebda's displays are reported to have attracted interest from Aston Villa, Everton, Fulham and Blackburn and his representative has now confirmed there has been contact from England. His brother Karim, who is also his agent, said in The Sun: "There are English clubs who've asked about him. But no fee has been agreed yet."Benfica signed the 26-year-old on a free transfer in 2008, but he is now out of favour and is looking for a move.It is understood the Portuguese giants would be prepared to sell him for the right price, even though he still has two years to run on his current contract.
