Keeper Hoult keen to start afresh

The 36-year-old sustained a stress fracture to his right ankle on the first day of pre-season last year before needing a shoulder operation in December, limiting him to just 21 appearances. "This year goes down as a frustrating one, that goes without saying," he told the club's official website. "It hasn't been the best because I've never been injured this much during my career. "To have two injuries - which ruled me out for quite a while - wasn't exactly the best start to my time with Notts after signing permanently last summer. "I'm glad the season is out the way now so I can look forwards and start afresh in July when we come back for training. I'm optimistic about the future now, the shoulder feels ok and hopefully I can get a pre-season under my belt and then hopefully a full season. "I won't stop during the close-season; I'll be working hard over the summer to be right for the season ahead."
