Butterworth has players in mind

Butterworth, manager Bryan Gunn and coach Ian Crook are tasked with reviving the Canaries' fortunes following their dismal showing in the recent campaign. And with goalkeeper David Marshall's move to Cardiff likely to open the door for other experienced players to leave Carrow Road, Butterworth has outlined the type of players he is hoping the club can attract. "We'll all have an input into the kind of players we can recruit," he told the Eastern Daily Press. "We have to make sure we get the right players who want to compete for Norwich, who can do a job in League One. "I think there are players down there, young players who you have to take a chance on. "There are also players out there who have been released by other clubs in the Championship and League One who you may be able to pick up. They are out there, it's just a matter of spotting them, the right kind of players, the ones with the character and the attitude, who are willing to work their socks off for the cause."
