Abbott joins Charlton

Addicks take striker on a two year deal Pawel Abbott has left Boundary Park to join League One rivals Charlton Athletic for a nominal fee. The 28 year old has signed a two-year contract with the Addicks after Paul Dickov sanctioned the move of last season's 13-goal top scorer. Dickov said, “Charlton came in for Pawel and, as I cannot guarantee anybody first-team football, I allowed him to speak to them. We are well blessed for strikers as we have Tom Eaves, Ryan Brooke, Lewis Alessandra, Warren Feeney, Dean Kelly and next week I hope to bring in another striker on loan from a Premier League club. On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to wish Pawel all the best for the future.”
