Ferdinand worry for Black Cats

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce revealed defender Anton Ferdinand picked up a hamstring injury in Saturday's 2-1 friendly success at Leicester. Goals from Fraizer Campbell and Jordan Henderson gave the Wearsiders victory - just two weeks before they kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Birmingham.Ferdinand was replaced by Phil Bardsley just 20 minutes into the match against the Championship side at the Walkers Stadium and Bruce said afterwards: "He has a hamstring injury and we'll look at that."With fellow central defender Michael Turner suspended for Sunderland's first two matches of the season, Bruce added on Sky Sports News: "It's a worry for us - we'll see how bad it is over the next 24-48 hours."
