Champions League ref Ovrebo vows to soldier on despite Chelsea controversy

Referee Tom Henning Ovrebo insists he will not quit despite being at the centre of Chelsea's Champions League controversy. The Norwegian official was heavily criticised for his performance in the Blues' exit against Barcelona at Stamford Bridge last week. Ovrebo was surrounded by Chelsea players at the final whistle after turning down four penalty appeals and he was later smuggled out of the country after reported death threats. But he is refusing to turn his back on the job, saying: 'I won't comment on what has happened since Wednesday. 'My focus is now on my coming matches in Norway. But since this happened I have been noticed more in the street and people are pointing. 'Why do I like football? Why shouldn't I? It's always been part of my life since I was seven I was playing football since that age so it's hard to stop liking it because of one incident.'
