City snap up Hunt and Stewart

ristol City have bolstered their defensive options with the signings of Nicky Hunt from Bolton and Damion Stewart from QPR. Right-back Hunt, 26, has signed a two-year deal and arrives on a free transfer after ending his 10-year association with the Trotters.Hunt made 161 appearances for the Trotters, his last outing coming in March 2008 against Arsenal at the Reebok Stadium.Manager Owen Coyle told the club's official website: "Nicky is a terrific lad but obviously his opportunities have been limited here. We wish him well at Bristol City."City paid Championship rivals QPR an undisclosed fee for Jamaica international Stewart, 29, and the centre-back has signed a three-year contract.Stewart joined Rangers from Bradford in 2006 and made more than 150 appearances for the London club.The pair take the number of new signings at Ashton Gate to four following the arrival of Kalifa Cisse and Albert Adomah from Reading and Barnet respectively.
