Dons held by Tamworth in friendly

Aberdeen were held to a 1-1 draw at Blue Square Bet Premier side Tamworth in the opening match of their tour of England on Saturday. Mark Howard was in goal for the visitors as number one Jamie Langfield missed out after burning his foot with boiling water on the team bus travelling south on Friday.Josh Magennis gave Aberdeen the lead in the second minute when he took a Darren Mackie pass before hammering the ball into the net at the second attempt for his first goal for the Pittodrie club.Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee made five changes at the break but eight minutes into the second half Kyle Perry headed in a Jay Smith cross with the Dons defence in disarray.
