Tom Eaves' hat-trick ended Bolton's unbeaten pre-season run and gave the Premier League club's boss Owen Coyle plenty to think about after a 3-00 defeat at Oldham.
Coyle sent out a virtually full-strength side for the pre-season friendly clash at Boundary Park but saw his side undone by the first-half substitute.
Eaves, who replaced Warren Feeney when the Northern Ireland international picked up an injury, gave the Latics side a 24th-minute lead, doubled the advantage four minutes before the break and completed his hat-trick in the 55th minute.
