Austin starts for Quakers

Darlington have won the race to land experienced defender Kevin Austin and he makes his first appearance tonight. The 37-year-old has been mulling over an offer from The Northern Echo Arena since last week and has also been weighing up an offer from Barrow. But, despite no confirmation from Darlington, Austin's name on the teamsheet for tonight's friendly with Workington offers an indication that he has chosen the Quakers. Austin looks set to start at left-back, despite preferring to play centrally, meaning that German defender Dominik Werling could start further forward.
