Fry: Posh happy with youth policy

Darren Ferguson's men finished runners-up behind Leicester in the 2008/09 League One campaign and Fry is already working on a five-man list produced by the manager. "The players we try to sign will not be huge household names but that is not to say people won't be impressed," he told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. "We will continue the policy of signing young, hungry players which has already proved so successful. Why would we change something that has helped us win promotion two years running? "The players we are targeting this summer have already been identified and are all at either Premiership or Football League clubs. There is no-one from non-league on our wish list now. "We would prefer to buy players as neither the chairman or the manager are big fans of taking people on loan. Sometimes that is the only option though and it can work in your favour as we found out with Gaby Zakuani."
