Gerrard - We won`t surrender

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard aims to put the pressure on Manchester United at the top of the Barclays Premier League by helping his team claim top spot at West Ham.If the Reds do so, it will be the first time since the inception of the Premier League that they have led with two games to go.Of course United, with a game in hand, can reclaim top spot by winning at home to neighbours Manchester City 24 hours later. But the measure of Liverpool's improvement this season will be underlined by even a temporary stint at the head of the table at this stage. If they do take all three points at the Boleyn Ground, they will reach the 80-point mark for only the third time in the Premier League - their highest is the 82 amassed in the 2005-06 season, when they finished third.Gerrard, set to lead Liverpool for the 100th time in league combat, still believes the title is possible. He said: "We will keep going until the end. We won't surrender when we're so close. Winning the title with this club would mean the world to me."
