Dawson: We will iron out mistakes

Defender Andy Dawson is confident Hull have time to address where they came unstuck in their 4-2 friendly defeat to Sunderland in Portugal. Nigel Pearson's side found themselves 4-1 down in the first half before turning in an improved display in the second period and Dawson insists there is no cause for alarm. He said: "Obviously we would have preferred a better result but it's pre-season and it's all about learning where we can improve. It's better to get things right now before there are any points at stake. "We'll look at the Sunderland game and talk about it and make sure we iron out our mistakes. We'll take the positives into the new season." Hull take on Dundee United in their next pre-season friendly at the KC Stadium on Saturday (3pm).
