Leicester striker Yann Kermorgant has been granted permission to speak to French club AC Arles Avignon about a season-long loan deal.
The 28-year-old has been told by new City boss Paulo Sousa that he does not feature in his plans this season.
A statement on the club`s official website said: "Leicester City Football Club can confirm that Yann Kermorgant has been given permission to speak to French Ligue 1 side AC Arles Avignon regarding a season-long loan deal."
Kermorgant was signed by former manager Nigel Pearson 12 months ago.
His only goal for the club came in a 2-0 home win over Middlesbrough on the final day of last season.
He will be remembered by Foxes fans as the player whose audacious penalty was saved during the shoot-out defeat to Cardiff in the Championship play-off semi-final.
