Bayern Munich's Ukrainian midfielder Anatoliy Tymoshchuk will rejoin Russian side Zenit St Petersburg next season, the German champions announced on Sunday.

The move was also confirmed by Zenit with the 34-year-old signing a two-year deal.

Tymoshchuk spent four seasons at Bayern, who became the first German team to win the treble after beating Stuttgart 3-2 in Saturday's German Cup final to add to their Bundesliga and Champions League titles.

The Ukraine national team captain joined Bayern from Zenit for 10 million euros in 2009.

During his first spell with the Russian club Tymoshchuk won the Russian championship in 2007 and was part of the UEFA Cup-winning team a year later.

Zenit finished runners-up to champions CSKA Moscow in the Russian Premier League this season, snapping their run of back-to-back titles.
