We must do better - Foyle

York City boss Martin Foyle was left reflecting on more wastefulness from his side as they failed to put away a limited Barrow side at Bootham Crescent on Tuesday evening. The Minstermen created a succession of decent opportunities but were denied by poor finishing and sheer misfortune on a number of occasions as the ball continued to bounce dangerously around the visitors' six-yard box. And when they finally did manage to get a telling strike at the target, they were ultimately thwarted by the woodwork, as substitute Peter Till found late on when his driven shot through a crowded area deflected onto an upright.“They have come here for a draw and they came with a very defensive formation,” a frustrated Foyle later told The Press. “In the periods of play we have had, we have to score. I usually stick up for my strikers but we have had some chances.“I am not going to take too many negatives but we should have taken the points. We should have scored a goal and the first goal means so much," he continued. “The longer it goes on, Barrow kept dropping deeper and deeper.“I am frustrated but the quality from back to front has to be better.”
