York City defender Richard Hope has told manager Chris Brass that he is keen to extend his contract with the club.
The former Darlington and Northampton Town star's current short-term deal expires in December, but he is enjoying life at Bootham Crescent and wants to stay and play a part in City's bid to reach the play-offs.
"My contract is up halfway through December and I would love to stay here because I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything's been brilliant," Hope told the Yorkshire Evening Press.
"I have been talking already about a few bits and bobs and when it comes to the day when it runs out hopefully we will be able to thrash something out."
Hope has played 20 times for the Minstermen this season, playing a major part in making the club's defence one of the tightest in Division Three as well as contributing two goals.
