Ebbsfleet reject bid for Charles

Ebbsfleet United's owners have turned down a £10,000 offer from Blue Square Premier rivals York City for defender Darius Charles. More than 2,000 members of subscription website MyFootballClub voted, with 1,977 rejecting the bid and only 60 agreeing to accept the offer. Charles, 21, was Ebbsfleet's player of the year last season. A decision is due on Friday afternoon over the possible sale of striker Michael Gash for £30,000.
