Jameson set for debut

York's new loan signing Arron Jameson is hoping to make his debut against Rochdale in boss Nigel Worthington's first home game in charge.

Jameson, 23, was Worthington's first signing last week when he arrived on an emergency loan from Sheffield Wednesday and was an unused substitute in the weekend defeat at AFC Wimbledon.

Michael Ingham has been York's regular number one this season and started on Saturday, but was overlooked by Worthington when he was manager of Northern Ireland.

Defender Lanre Oyebanjo is expected to return to the squad after missing out at Wimbledon due to a calf problem.

Worthington, who has no new injury or suspension problems, hinted he could switch formation after employing a 4-5-1 line-up at the weekend.

Striker Michael Rankine, midfielder Paddy McLaughlin and defender Jamal Fyfield were all recalled to the starting line-up by Worthington in his first game in charge and will be hoping to continue.

Forwards Jason Walker and Alex Rodman are pushing for recalls after making way on Saturday as the Minstermen chase their first win in 13 matches.

Terry Gornell is an injury doubt for Rochdale.

Gornell suffered a groin injury during the opening stages of Saturday's 4-1 win over Wycombe at Spotland.

George Donnelly came on in his place and is well positioned to start in attack against the Minstermen having bagged a second-half brace at the weekend - the former Macclesfield striker's first goals since October.

Peter Cavanagh was an unused substitute versus Wanderers following a month on the sidelines with a calf problem and will hope for a midweek return to action.

Victory last time out came on the back of consecutive 3-0 defeats and was only Dale's second league triumph of 2013.

Reece Gray (broken leg) remains a long-term absentee.
