Rhys Turner back with Oldham as York prepare for Morecambe's visit

York will be without striker Rhys Turner for the home clash with Morecambe after he returned to his parent club Oldham this week.

Turner had made nine appearances for the Minstermen and scored one goal but was not involved in last week's defeat to Bristol Rovers.

Veteran midfielder Jonathan Greening is also no longer an option for under-pressure boss Jackie McNamara after he left the club by mutual consent.

Bradley Fewster, on loan from Middlesbrough, will hope to keep his starting spot, while Russell Penn has shown no ill-effects after minor ankle surgery and should continue.

Morecambe have goalkeeper Barry Roche back available following injury.

Roche was forced off in the 21st minute of the Shrimps' 1-0 victory over Dagenham & Redbridge on December 1 with a back injury and also missed the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat by Fleetwood.

Midfielder Aaron Wildig and eight-goal striker Tom Barkhuisen have both been suffering with knocks and will be assessed.

Morecambe will hope the weather does not intervene this weekend after their match against Exeter at the Globe Arena last Saturday was postponed.
