Minstermen sweat over Fletcher
York striker Wes Fletcher is in a race to be fit in time for the home game against Exeter.
Fletcher, who has scored 13 goals this season, missed last week's goalless home draw against Southend due to a hamstring problem. Fellow forward Ryan Jarvis (ankle) is pushing for a recall to the starting line-up after returning to the bench last week.
Manager Nigel Worthington, who has no new injury or suspension worries, could opt to start with winger Will Hayhurst again in his last game before returning to parent club Preston.
The Minstermen, unbeaten in their last four league games, have failed to score in their previous four home matches.
Exeter boss Paul Tisdale is set to shuffle his pack as the Grecians look to get back to winning ways.
Since they stunned Southend at Roots Hall back on February 15, Tisdale's men have picked up just one point from three home games to leave them seven points above the relegation zone.
And the latest defeat, a 1-0 loss to Wycombe on Tuesday, saw a number of first-team regulars drop to the bench and the likes of Tom Nichols, Matt Oakley, Jimmy Keohane and Arron Davies will all hope to earn recalls at York.
Matt Grimes saw a head injury stitched up at half-time against the Chairboys but he looks set to keep his place in the Grecians XI when they make the long trip.
