Minstermen to check on Jarvis

York will hand a late fitness test to striker Ryan Jarvis ahead of the home league game against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Jarvis returned to the starting line-up and fired York's winner against Morecambe on New Year's Day, but was later forced off due to a thigh strain. Ryan Bowman is a likely replacement should he fail to make it.

Boss Nigel Worthington, who is trying to add to his squad before the game, could recall midfielder Elliott Whitehouse or fellow loanee Josh Carson after both were rested and left out of the starting line-up against Morecambe.

Defender Luke O'Neill will not feature as he has been recalled by Burnley a day early.

Lawson D'Ath is suspended for Dagenham but Zavon Hines returns from a ban of his own.

On-loan midfielder D'Ath serves a one-match suspension having seen red in the club's 1-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon on New Year's Day, a fixture forward Hines missed having previously collected his fifth booking of the season.

Billy Bingham (knee) and Matt Saunders (ankle) continue to sit out as the Daggers aim to record back-to-back wins for the first time since the end of October.

Striker Brian Woodall parted ways with the Daggers by mutual consent on Thursday and will not be available.
