Sinclair set for York bow

York's new signing Emile Sinclair is hoping to make his debut for the club in the home game against promotion-chasing Burton.

Sinclair signed a short-term deal until June this week following his release from Northampton and boss Russ Wilcox, whose side have not scored in their last three matches, must decide whether to start with the former Nottingham Forest and Peterborough striker.

Wilcox employed winger Anthony Straker at full-back after withdrawing Femi Ilesanmi early in the second half in last week's home defeat to Stevenage and the latter is hoping to return to the fray.

Defender Stephane Zubar sits out the third game of a four-match ban and goalkeeper Michael Ingham (shoulder) remains doubtful.

Lucas Akins could start for Burton after getting another week of training under his belt.

Akins is close to a return to full fitness following an ankle problem which kept him out for two months.

However, fellow winger Alex MacDonald is less likely to be involved against the Minstermen as he continues to recover from a badly-gashed knee.

Central defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff (calf) is doubtful, while goalkeeper Dean Lyness (broken leg) is still on the sidelines.
