Double blow for Minstermen

York pair Josh Carson and Wes Fletcher will play no part against promotion hopefuls Burton amid fears they could both be ruled out for the rest of the season.

Midfielder Carson and striker Fletcher both sustained knee injuries in last week's win at Portsmouth and missed the midweek victory against Torquay. Both players are waiting to learn the full extent of their injuries.

New signing Calvin Andrew was named among the substitutes in place of Fletcher on Tuesday night and stepped off the bench to make his debut, while winger Ryan Brobbel is another option following his return on loan from Middlesbrough.

Boss Nigel Worthington is expected to name the same line-up as his play-off chasers bid for a seventh straight league win.

Burton will check on Adam McGurk.

McGurk hobbled off with a knee injury late on in the 1-0 home win over Wycombe in midweek. Albion are hoping it was nothing more than an impact injury and that the forward suffered no tissue damage.

Ashley Hemmings will go straight into the squad following his arrival on loan from Walsall and could even start if McGurk is not fit.

The likes of Lee Bell, Gary Alexander, Alex MacDonald, Dominic Knowles and Marcus Holness are also options for manager Gary Rowett should he wish to make any changes to his starting line-up.
