York boss Jackie McNamara hoping to lift morale ahead of Bristol Rovers clash

York boss Jackie McNamara faces the difficult task of raising his relegated side's morale for Saturday's clash with Bristol Rovers at Bootham Crescent.

The Minstermen saw their fate sealed by last week's 3-0 defeat at Accrington Stanley and McNamara has spent the week sorting out his retained list for next season.

He has already warned the club's six contracted players, including goalkeeper Scott Flinders, they face a wage cut if they stay with the club,

Michael Coulson will not figure against Rovers having been allowed to leave the club prior to his summer move to St Johnstone.

Rovers boss Darrell Clarke has no new injury problems for the Pirates' promotion push.

Mark McChrystal, Lee Mansell, Cristian Montano and Billy Bodin were all recalled last weekend, the 3-1 victory over Exeter securing an eighth straight home win.

But Clarke has shown in the past that he is not afraid to change a winning line-up, especially if he reverts to the three-man defence he deployed in the last away game at Stevenage.

Defender Tom Lockyer sustained a knock against Exeter, but the Wales Under-21 international is fit to start.
