Four missing for Minstermen

York will be without Josh Carson, plus on-loan trio Ryan Brobbel, Ben Davies and Luke O'Neill for their FA Cup replay against Bristol Rovers.

Midfielder Carson and winger Brobbel (Middlesbrough) are both still on international duty with Northern Ireland Under-21s after missing the weekend draw against Plymouth.

Left-back Davies (Preston) and right-back O'Neill (Burnley) have not been given permission to play in the first-round replay by their parent clubs.

Manager Nigel Worthington, who could also be without Estonia international winger Sander Puri (hamstring), is expected to recall Jamal Fyfield, while fellow defender David McGurk hopes to feature following a hamstring injury.

Bristol Rovers will be without Alefe Santos.

The winger limped out of Saturday's draw with Bury late on with a hamstring problem and the Pirates will assess the severity of the injury in the coming days.

Another winger who will not feature against the Minstermen is Alex Henshall who has returned to parent club Manchester City after manager John Ward decided not to extend his loan stay at the Memorial Ground after just two appearances in a month.

Ward opted to change his attacking set-up with Matt Harrold partnering Chris Beardsley in the 1-1 draw and the pair will hope to keep their place in the starting line-up.
