York still chase Walker

York City are continuing their chase for highly-rated Luton Town striker Jason Walker. Manager Gary Mills originally tried to sign the 27-year-old from Barrow last October before he instead decided upon a move to Kenilworth Road. But Walker has since found his opportunities rather limited with the Hatters, who added Rushden & Diamonds marksman Aaron O'Connor to their sizeable ranks earlier this week."From the moment I came to York City, I wanted to bring him here," Mills told The Press. "He went to Luton but he's a player I would love to get to York."We'll have to wait and see whether we can do that," he added. "I'm certain they would want a fee and it could be dependent on how much they want but, along with the chairman, we are working hard to bring him in and I believe he would complete our frontline if we are successful."Walker still managed seventeen goals last season after a very successful opening three months at Barrow, for whom he also netted 21 times during the previous campaign.
