York must focus on the league - Foyle
York City manager Martin Foyle has told his side not to let their promotion ambitions slip after they went out of the FA Trophy 2-1 at Barrow. Richard Pacquette's second-half goal was not enough for last season's finalists after Phil Bolland and a Jason Walker penalty put Barrow 2-0 up.Foyle told BBC Radio York: "We've got to realise we're third in the league."I keep saying to them, you've got yourself in a great position, don't throw away all you've worked hard for."He added: "It's a long season. I've said I don't want anybody coming in feeling sorry for themselves because we've got 13 cup finals ahead of us."I desperately wanted to have another chance of it [the FA Trophy] but it's gone now."York were left chasing the game after Barrow scored both their goals in the first half, and Foyle said the way his side started was a cause for concern."We gave away two very poor goals and that gives them a good start," he said."You give any team a 2-0 lead and you're trying to chase back."I thought there was only one team in it in the second half and I made some substitutions to try and give us a bit of life, but it's how we started the game that worried me a little bit."We had to make some changes.
