York missing new signing Till
New signing Peter Till is set to be an absentee when York City entertain Championship side Barnsley in the latest pre-season friendly at Bootham Crescent on Tuesday evening (kick-off 7.45pm). Winger Till is currently suffering from a sickness bug and ready to join David McGurk, Duane Courtney and Greg Young on the sidelines. However, York boss Martin Foyle has recruited Leeds United Academy defender Liam Darville for the next couple of games to help fill the shortfall in defence.Meanwhile, trialist ex-Darlington goalkeeper David Knight (right) has recovered from illness and is likely to be handed an opportunity to impress.Barnsley are expected to include Uruguayan international midfielder Diego Arismendi following his arrival on loan from Stoke City.
