A last-minute equaliser denied York City victory in their latest pre-season friendly as the contest eventually finished 1-1 at Garforth Town. The Minstermen went ahead just before the break when recent signing Jason Walker [right] turned the ball in at close-range for his second goal in two games. But a spirited Garforth side claimed a late leveller from David Brown after York handed opportunities to their full complement of players, with goalkeeping coach Paul Musselwhite and even a couple of youngsters being introduced into the action.Earlier the visitors had lost midfielder David McDermott through a nasty looking injury during the first-half.Next up for York is a visit from Premiership side Sunderland to Bootham Crescent on Wednesday evening.York City: Ingham (Musselwhite), Oyebanjo (McGurk), Parslow (Holland), Smith (Allen), Meredith (Fyfield), McDermott (Moké), Boucaud (Kerr), McLaughlin (Potts), Blair (Reed), Walker (Henderson), Chambers (Purcell)
