York City v Salisbury City

York City manager Martin Foyle has called for his underperforming players to really produce the goods as Salisbury City visit Bootham Crescent on Tuesday night (kick-off 7.45pm). The Minstermen's recent poor form has seen them collect only a solitary league point from the twelve available and disappointingly exit the FA Trophy at the quarter-final stage. That combined with Chester City's expulsion from the division, and the points lost as a consequnce of that, has seen them suddenly fall out of the play-offs and into sixth place. These are difficult times therefore for Foyle, whose hopes have been further hit with the news that he could be without as many as four of his leading players for the arrival of seventeenth-placed Salisbury.Skipper Danny Parslow, defensive colleague David McGurk (inset) and leading scorer Richard Brodie all suffered knocks in the weekend reversal to Forest Green Rovers and will require late checks. Meanwhile, influentional midfielder Alex Lawless is definitely out with hamstring trouble.“We will have to assess them today,” Foyle told The Press. “They all look doubtful but we have got to get on with it. They (injuries) always come round at the wrong time.“There have been a lot of individual mistakes, which is not like us and there’s lots of things we need to put right. I am not going to hide from the fact that the last three or four results haven’t been very good.“We have got to keep doing the right things," he continued. "It is a blip but good players come back. It is down to us to make sure everyone is up for it. We are all in it together. Three points would be welcome and motivation has never, ever been a problem.“We have probably had five or six players at six out of ten. We just need more to come to the front when you are losing games.“When we take the lead we look great and then we drop our heads when we go behind.“It is a pressure time and we have got to deliver a bit more and believe in ourselves a bit more.” Salisbury are expected to be without midfielder Rob Sinclair (hamstring) for the rest of the campaign. On loan Brentford man Chris Bush is also set to miss out, with Southampton loannee centre-back Aaron Martin and Toby Martin likely to step in.The visitors suffered their first defeat in seven at Mansfield Town at the weekend, and also have the prospect of a first-ever FA Trophy semi-final appearance against York's conquerors Barrow at the weekend.
