York City v Oxford United

York City will complete a return to the Football League if they can defeat Oxford United in their Blue Square Premier play-off final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 5pm). Manager Martin Foyle will almost certainly keep with the side that proved too strong for Luton Town in both legs of their semi-final. Foyle is already well aware of what lies ahead in terms of the opposition line-up: "They will definitely go 4-3-3 and we know exactly how we will deal with that," he told The Press. "In the past, we have struggled a bit with two centre-halves against one centre-forward, but it`s not that much of a problem. "We probably need to push their full-backs back more than we have in the past against 4-3-3 teams, but we have created chances in those matches and must take them if they come our way again. We also know they are petrified of Richard Brodie (right) and Michael Rankine."York's front two have scored almost fifty goals between them this season and could prove the difference between the two sides. Boss Foyle has already confirned that he will definititely include a replacement keeper in Josh Mimms amongst his substitutes. "I don`t usually go with a keeper but I will do in a one-off match. There will be one or two broken hearts, but I can`t please everybody," he added. The Minstermen will be well outnumbered in the stands in front of what could be a record attendance for a Conference play-off final. However, that wasn't concerning Foyle too much.“Our supporters have been good away from home and, even though they will be outnumbered, the players will thrive on the atmosphere both sets of fans generate.”  Oxford are also set to remain unchanged as their skipper Adam Murray is still ruled out with a back problem. On loan winger Alfie Potter and local product Sam Deering are both expected to be on the bench, where Chris Hargreaves faces competition from Adam Sandwith.York City (probable): Ingham, Purkiss, McGurk, Graham, Meredith, Lawless, Mackin, Barrett, Carruthers, Rankine, Brodiesubs (from): Mimms, Parslow, Sangare, Pitt, Gash, Pacquette, Smith, Harsley, Gall, ClarkeOxford United (probable): Clarke, Batt, Creighton, Wright, Tonkin, Bulman, Chapman, Clist, Green, Constable, Midsonsubs (from): Turley, Sandwith, Day, Potter, Deering, HargreavesRef: M.
