York City v Hartlepool United

31 July 2010 00:07
York City will be bidding for a third straight victory when meeting Hartlepool United at Bootham Crescent on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm). Having already defeated both Morecambe and Scunthorpe United in the past week the hosts should be in excellent spirits. However, manager Martin Foyle is set to be without several of his squad who are carrying slight knocks and strains, although he was refusing to identify exactly who."We have got six or seven out and that is a bit annoying at this stage of pre-season," Foyle told The Press. "It is nothing major but they are not getting enough game time and I am thinking two weeks ahead now."They have to be 100 per cent," he added. "They are doing a little bit of work but if you are not on the pitch then you are chasing [fitness]."I am going to arrange one or two games, either behind closed doors or we will get on our travels."Following the arrival of Hartlepool this weekend, York then only have one currently confirmed pre-season fixture remaining at North Ferriby United before the start of their league campaign.
