York City v Fleetwood Town

York City host former Conference rivals Fleetwood Town at Bootham Crescent this evening (kick-off 7.45pm). The Minstermen were expected to rely on the side which came away with a weekend 2-0 victory at Aldershot, where Matty Blair scored on his return to the starting line-up and Jason Walker soon added another from the penalty spot.   Manager Gary Mills is still without both Scott Kerr and David McGurk, although that pair are now back in training. Midfielder John McReady is similarly unavailable after recently dislocating a shoulder.   Following the arrival of Fleetwood, York have successive home games against Rotherham in the league on Saturday and then Coventry in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy next week.   “It’s fantastic to have those three home games on the back of a good away win and a clean sheet at Aldershot on Saturday," Mills told The Press.   “There are lots of incentives for us. We’ve put ourselves back in the top half of the table and it’s a case of progressing again.   “We will be playing two teams above us so we know that if we pull off two results we will get closer to them or above them. These are the exciting days that we got promoted for and the games you look forward to.”   Former York striker Jon Parkin should be amongst the visitors' substitutes while fellow marksman Andy Mangan is already ruled out.   That should see on loan Blackpool teenager Tom Barkhuizen once again partnering David Ball in attack after both scored in the weekend 2-1 home victory against ten-man Barnet.
