New signings Erik Tonne, Ben Swallow and Chris Doig are all eligible as York City meet Ebbsfleet United in the FA Trophy third round at Bootham Crescent.

Norwegian midfielder Tonne has arrived on loan from Sheffield United while Welsh winger Swallow was recently released by Bristol Rovers. Experienced 30-year-old centre-back Doig [right] has also been recruited by the Minstermen until the end of the season following around two hundred games at Nottingham Forest and Northampton Town. But the hosts are without injured pair David McGurk and Jamal Fyfield, in addition to midfielder Scott Brown, who serves the final game of a three-match ban after being sent-off in the recent league meeting between the sides.

But leading scorer Jason Walker could return on the bench after missing the last eight games with groin trouble.“We’ve beaten them twice but they were both tough games," York boss Gary Mills admitted to The Press.“The victories will have given us confidence but, equally, they might inspire them not to let it happen again.“These things can work both ways and we’ve got to ensure that our confidence doesn’t lead to a bit of complacency creeping in.“We can’t be thinking that because we’ve beaten them twice, we will beat them a third time.“I keep saying the hardest thing to do is to keep winning football matches and, if we beat them three times, it shows we have got a lot of mental strength.” Fleet are missing injured duo Ram Marwa and Gianoulis Fakinos, but midfielder Michael West was expected to delay a hernia operation in order to play. Also in contention is latest signing Gozie Ogwu, a teenage striker who has joined them on loan from Reading.
