York City v Altrincham

28 August 2010 11:26
York City boss Martin Foyle must decide whether to stick with the side held at home by Barrow in midweek or make changes for the visit of bottom club Altrincham to Bootham Crescent. The Minstermen made enough chances to comfortably win that game, but once again found themselves wide of the mark as they drew their third of four matches so far. Peter Till and David McDermott (right) are both waiting in the wings to give the side additional width if required, while fellow summer arrivals Duane Courtney and ex-Altrincham centre-back Greg Young are still to make their full debuts after being ruled out by injury early on. Where York have drawn three times, Altrincham have lost the same number of games and currently find themselves propping up the rest of the division with only a single point. However, they have beeen severely restricted by injuries so far this term and the situation doesn't appear to be getting any easier for them.Michael Twiss, Matt Doughty, Robbie Lawton, Anthony Danylyk and Shaun Densmore have all recently been on the sidelines, while Chris Denham is the latest to collect a knock during midweek. But Matty Crowell is available after the Robins were granted international clearance from the Australian FA, and Danny Holmes and Kevin Holsgrove have both recently made debuts.
