York City v Alfreton Town

28 August 2011 22:54
York City will be without right-back Lanre Oyebanjo for their Bank Holiday Monday clash with Alfreton Town at Bootham Crescent. The former Histon defender has been forced to travel early for the forthcoming Republic of Ireland Under-21 friendly international against Hungary. Daniel Parslow should come in to replace him. The Minstermen were waiting to discover if winger Matty Blair has recovered from the calf problem which has kept him out of recent games.  Ex-Watford striker Liam Henderson is back in training after a knee problem but David McDermott remains on the sidelines with a foot injury. The visitors have Josh Law doubtful after he suffered a groin strain before their weekend 4-1 defeat to Wrexham. However, midfielder Levi Mackin was expected to face his former club with another one-time York man Greg Young hoping for a recall from the bench.
